Information on Jack Carey’s free energy claims
Let's try to sum up some of the outrageous claims Jack Carey
has made in last few months about supposed devices developed by Confidential
Technology in Flint, MI
1st The Rotary Transformer Phase Converter
allegedly uses electricity more "efficiently" but can not power a
generator producing more power than the input power, even though claim is that
400 watts
input power produces 3 HP (2238 watts) on the three phase motor powering the
air compressor.
NOTE: Jack claims only 110 VAC 9 amps (1KW) is needed for full load of 5 HP air
compressor, 2.5 HP drill press and arc welder set for
100 amps all at full load. But he never could change the "30 amp screw in circuit breaker"
on the 12 gauge wire to 15 amp slow blow fuse. Even though
National Electrical Code calls for only 20 amps on 12 gauge wire. Nor
could Jack run the RTPC and that equipment from 1000 watt generator NOR could
Jack connect a generator to the "5 HP" motor and get 3000 watts
to run other loads by using "wasted
kinetic energy" and "unused frequencies" in the grid supplied
electricity while using only 400 watts input.
2nd Advanced atomic power source in a
5 gallon bucket, the only evidence offered is some charts that say the temperature
rise of the water is greater than physics predicts for the small amount of
Uranium 238 used. But no independent verification by qualified atomic energy
experts was offered.
3rd Advance power systems for
automobiles that doesn't need gasoline or diesel fuel, will burn hydrogen or
whatever, without pollution, etc.
4th Developing "crash
proof" passenger compartments for automobiles, but Jack has NO concept of
energy dispersion, crush zones, deceleration, etc.
5th Alleged permanent magnet motor
that ran by itself, but had to be disassembled because it made a
electromagnetic energy field around it that can damage DNA or other health
problems in people.
6th Advanced
permanent magnetic materials that have much stronger magnetic field than other
materials and are not affected by heat.
7th Electric current without ElectroMagneticField but no evidence of how it was measured
or how a motor could be powered by electricity if there is no magnetic field
since that is what makes motors go.
8th Jack Carey will be rich and
famous when all this technology is introduced to the market and all the
skeptical electrical engineers and technicians,
etc. will be out of a job since all of today's electrical theory will be
obsolete.

Jack Carey is just the "promoter" but knows nothing about the
technical details. He sends crackpot letters to corporations promising them a
chance to save lots of money on electricity or chance to make big profits from
developing and licensing the technology of Confidential Technology. But then he
wonders why large corporations don't respond favorably to crackpot letters that
promise things that break the "laws of physics" and Jack insults them
and has bad grammar & spelling. Jack’s operation consists of haranguing people
in prominent positions and then dropping their names as if they believe

has had an open challenge out to Jack since the start of 2004 to even find a
single person who either thinks Jack has something significant or feels Jack is

Now in the 25 years since Wayne Cochron first started making RTPC for himself and friends, none of them seem to be able to connect a generator to that 4 HP or more motor powered by the RTPC using only 1 KW input to generate 4 HP (3KW) or more output to power their homes and save 66% on their electric bill. J Carey has NOT provided the name and contact information for someone else using a RTPC, nor has contacted Michigan State University just 40 miles or so west of Flint, MI in Lansing. Seems their science department would be interested in such a fundamental advancement in electricity and physics.

'victory', like that has proven his word to be true.
8. The device he is pushing is said to be owned by Confidential Technologies,
yet they say that Jack is NOT their representative.
9. He asks everyone to call him but those that do receive the same nonsense and
ranting that he produces in his e-mails. Plus, if he gets your phone number he
will continue to call and harass you.
10. He makes threats towards people that call his bluff, threatening to call their place of
employment and the worst, threatening to hack into their server and disable or
attack it in some manner. The latter threat is a federal
offense and can get him imprisoned if anyone presses it.

The infamous Jack Carey did come to our place in mid-October --- I'll be
writing up a formal report later (but it is not a high priority) -- to allow us
to check out what he claimed was a super-performance phase onverter.
We were not expecting much -- given this man's confused, illiterate rantings
on the net. (I had never met him face to face -- nd would not
recommend the experience to anyone -- at least not when the topic of his
claimed anomalous devices is at issue.) However, for the sake of the supposed
inventor of this device -- the late Wayne Cochran (who my colleague Ken Rauen had met in Michigan) -- we thought it would be a good
idea to see the "real thing" and attempt to test it without the time
and other constraints that were present in the cursory Michigan tests -- put it
to rest once and for all, or find something novel.
Engineer Jan Roos, who has worked with us in the past
in our New Energy Research Laboratory, as well as Prof. Ted Loder
from the

Amp fuses inside the device, which kept blowing out! We obtained replacements
at Home Depot. This particular device was not given to Carey directly from
Wayne Cochran - it evidently fell into his possession when someone else who had
obtained it from

Well, to be frank, I was not familiar with their commercial availability -- in
both solid state and electromechanical form -- ntil after the
initial tests that we performed. Carey changes his claims from time to time
depending on what he thinks he can get out of one in the manner of surprise or
acceptance. If he thinks that you do
not know about the details of commercially available phase converters -- as we
did not during the testing (to my regret), he suggests that it is surprising
that this single-phase to 3-phase conversion is wondrous "Tesla-
Tech" etc., etc. If you find, as we did, that one leg of the phase
converter output is low in amperage, he suggests that this is
"amazing." Well, it is not, as an expert on phase converters related
to me afterwards. In truth, the particular 240V unit that Carey brought to us
evidenced NOTHING special whatsoever. It robustly converts single-phase to
3-phase AC, as do commercial units. We ran a 7 HP (name-plate 7HP) 3-phase
motor attached to an impeller-type water pump, and circulated the water through
a 100-gallon tank -- that was our load. In parallel there was a 3HP (face
plate) motor running -- the other load. However, we never got to the stage --
it would have been useless to be sure, but it would have been nice to do – of acquiring
a dynamometer to test its efficiency. There is no indication whatever that any
especially high efficiency was occurring based on rough power measurements. It
was definitely "under-unity". When loads were increased, power
consumption measured by two types of instruments registered increased power
consumption of the unit
dramatically -- to the point where even a 50 amp circuit breaker could be
tripped (my immediate recollection -- 40 Amp breaker definitely was, it was
replaced by a 50 Amp). There was clear indication of 8 to 10 kW peak power
consumption, with much less load being driven. (One of our plans had been to
pump water up an mgh cliff to get integrated energy
-- we did not have time for that.) Furthermore, even were
the efficiency eventually found to be high -- under dynamometer test -- that
would not be surprising. The experts at the manufacturer of phase converters told me that greater
than 90% conversion efficiency
is routine. Try to tell that to Jack Carey - good luck! Carey confuses motor
name plate rating with actual power consumption.
The only good thing about this experience was that it helped us to further
probe the confused psychology and intent of Jack Carey. He is innumerate. He
has no intention whatsoever of ever getting fixed numbers on the performance of
anything he shows. When I told him after the testing that there was no reason
to have a "press conference" -- which is what he insisted on! -- because NOTHING novel had been demonstrated, he became
extremely angry, and then took off for

Yes, that is what happened. There was huge power consumption – at least a 40
Amp breaker went. Jan Roos may recall whether the 50 A unit tripped as well. It's not terribly important.

Jack is a purveyor of misinformation. He will use this tape unethically to
claim "validation" but there is no validation of unusual performance
evident on that tape, whatsoever. I have the original DV tape. Carey has made
many other claims -- and these cannot be substantiated either. He showed us
credulously highly suspicious clips of other devices -- of the kind that circus
barker Dennis Lee also shows -- none of which have scientific or technical validity.
This kind of purveying of nonsense is a gross disservice to dedicated
scientists world-wide who are working on devices that in some particular cases
DO have demonstrable anomalous physics,

Ken's test then were inconclusive, although there was anomalous brightening of
the room lights, but one can only guess the true circuitry of that room, so
even this was not indicative of anything securely unusual.

later, but for now I see no reason to believe that the device Carey brought to
us was anything but a home brewed --

phase) -- phase converter. Until Carey can show a side-by-side quantitative
comparison with a commercial unit, he can claims
NOTHING from the tests at NERL -- other than he does have a phase converter.

Confidential Technologies, Flint MI. has developed a super efficient rotating transformer. It can utilize electricity from the GRID more effectively than is presently possible When it passes through their super efficient rotating transformer, the unit is using FREQUENCY'S that are currently wasted that are contained in electricity to create power instead of using amps. from a 110 V or 220 V electric power supply. The 110v to 3 phase units are more efficient than 220v to 3 phase units. The unit is basically a 3 Hp motor/generator that can create 3 phase industrial power. 12/2 common house wire is feeding the RT without the wires getting hot. Some people refer to the technology as cold electricity.
Also CT's industrial 3 phase motors using this new type of electrical power the unit is transforming, use far less power to operate and never get hot! The RT's output capacity depends on the voltage being supplied by the power company. Its capacity is higher if the volts are at the 120 level as opposed to say 98 volts being delivered by the grid. Volts being delivered will change sometimes daily. The unit is delivering a situation that causes 3 phase motors to operate more efficient. by drastically reducing the amp draw from the grid thus costing you far less to operate equipment. Plus now you can operate 3 phase equipment anywhere on the planet by only requiring single phase power as a feed factor. . .
Most three phase motors do get quite warm in conventional operations. For example the CT 3 hp motor that runs their industrial air compressor requires about 390 watts to operate to 160 psi. In a conventional situation 2200 watts would be required to operate the 3 Hp. motor. The air compressor calls for a conventional 5 hp motor which would require 3650 watts to operate in a normal situation. Confidential Technologies will make a larger 220v inverter version for Better World Technologies' Sundance generator system. That system will produce 2 watts through the generator that also enhances the power it receives for every watt that CT's system draws from the wall. This technology will relieve the heavy demands presently being placed on the power grids nationwide. Confidential Technologies is presently negotiating with several companies world wide for licensing agreements.
The CT inverter/converter can also be a separate product for people that need three phase in many situations where the power utilities do not provide it. CT has also developed advanced electro-dynamic equations to better define the process and are also developing more advanced electricity delivery systems. The present higher math, taught at most universities cannot explain the new CT process. CT's breakthrough is also light years beyond textbook electro-dynamics presently taught to physicists and electrical engineers world wide.
